CLAC Annual Combined-Event competition - Friday 17 Nov
What to expect on our club Combined-event competition night:
Athletes from U6-17 will compete in a multi-event program set by LAQ, which is based on their age and gender.
U6-U8 athletes will compete in a triathlon (3 events)
U9-U11 athletes will compete in a tetrathlon (4 events)
U12+ athletes will compete in a pentathlon (5 events)
Points are awarded to each athlete based on their times and distances recorded for each event.
The overall place getters and medal recipients for each age group are calculated by the total points scored after all events are completed.
Note: Points are allocated according to results and not the final placings in each event.
Each participating athlete will receive a certificate and medals will be awarded to the first three place getters in each age group overall.
As this is a competition night, where athletes have the opportunity to receive medals for their placings, we do not allow training or coaching during events.
If athletes enjoy this event, LAQ host the McDonald's Combined Event Championships usually in the first weekend of March
FURTHER DETAILS .........
Athletes can nominate for this directly through ResultsHQ (nominations open in the new year)
It is a great opportunity to be able to compete at the State Athletics Facility, Nathan BRISBANE, without needing to qualify.
