Little Athletics Queensland (LAQ) conducts a number of Carnivals and Championships each year.
Each of the three Carnivals include a Centre Team Trophy that is calculated on all athlete’s results and weighted points.

Coles Spring Carnival
The Spring Carnival is held each year at the Bundaberg Region Athletics Facility and is open to all U7 – U17 LAQ registered athletes as well as non-LAQ registered (age appropriate) athletes.

Coles Summer Carnival
The Summer Carnival aims to give all registered athletes in U9 – U17 age groups the opportunity to take part in a large-scale competition, without any of the pressures associated with a Championship.

McDonald’s Combined Event Championships
The Combined Event Championships is for U9 – U17’s and offers participation for U7 – U8’s in set combined events.
Additionally, the State Team Selectors will refer to the U15 Heptathlon results when selecting athletes for the State Team.

McDonald’s State Championships
The McDonalds State Championships is the final major competition in the LAQ calendar. Athletes from all corners of the State take part in this annual event in hope of becoming the State Champion in their chosen event.
